If you’ve received the e-mails, heard of the scholarships and business nominations, and you’ve seen the webpage banner, but you still find yourself asking “so, what is this Triunfo?”, then keep reading!
This Triunfo! event is a formal gala held on an annual basis. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County has had a tradition for 15 years of recognizing the “best and brightest” high school seniors in Palm Beach County as well as recognizing local businesses from a variety of categories who have demonstrated excellence. This year is it’s 16th year!
We solicit your help in identifying those extraordinary high school graduating students who should be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the Hispanic community.
In the last seven years, the Hispanic Chamber has raised approximately $82,000 for students who have pursue their studies in universities such as Harvard, Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, and many other prestigious institutions. The students selected have an outstanding Grade Point Average (GPA), dedicated many hours to community service and demonstrated excellent academic and leadership skills.
“Not only does the future of our community depend on the quality of professionals we have, but also the ones we empower to become leaders, who will create a better future,” said André Varona, Chief Executive Officer.
While the scholarship deadline has passed and the submitted applications are currently under review by the Education Committee, it is not too late to nominate a business for this prestigious award. All forms can be found at www.triunfoawards.org. The deadline for the business nominations is March 15th.
